What Belongs in a Publisher Board Pack

A concise inventory of subscription plates that help a media board, and the clutter that usually distracts.

A publisher board rarely needs twenty subscription charts. It needs a small set that explains cash from recurring readers, the health of the book, and material changes since the last meeting.

A durable core includes: ending paid subscribers by major plan, recognized subscription revenue for the period, net adds versus churn, and one cohort plate for the primary acquisition channel. Everything else should earn its page.

Decorative gauges and novelty rankings consume attention without changing a decision. If a plate cannot support a sentence the chair might ask, leave it in the appendix or drop it.

Finally, keep footnotes honest. Note currency, refund treatment, and whether complimentary or staff accounts are excluded. Clarity here prevents the meeting from becoming a debate about definitions.
